If you were lucky enough
to catch General Defao during his lengthy U.S. tour a couple of years back, chances
are that you also witnessed Jirbo Ntunta, a multi-talented artist versed in
modern Congolese rumba, adding his blend of vocals and dance moves to
Defao's mix.
Jirbo Ntunta has now founded
his own solo group, based on the 'Big Stars' style of Congolese rumba, and has recorded
and released an album titled
"Stop... Ayibi!" available through
Ayaba Records.
Most recently, Jirbo has been working on setting down the tracks for his
follow-up solo album and also has been busy touring with the well-known Soukous Stars.
Together, they have performed throughout the U.S.
Below is a photo gallery of some of
their
recent concert events.
