| Alpha Blondy returned to Irving Plaza for
another non-stop evening of Reggae music for an audience packed with his
fans. This was the sixth Alpha Blondy concert that we have seen
and each has been a music treat, given that his poignant music delivery
is backed by the tight and energetic Solar System band. For close
to three hours Blondy sang many of his hits and quite a few rarities
from his massive archive of material, the majority of the crowd knew
every word and, as with all of his New York performances, the front
region in front of the stage turns into a near-mosh pit of ecstatic fans
